Cervenka Consulting is a renown expert in the field of computational mechanics with emphasis on reinforced concrete structures. The company develops the commercial software ATENA for computer simulation of real behaviour of civil engineering structures based on non-linear finite element analysis, maintains its distribution and technical support. Furthermore, the company provides research, development and consulting services in the field of advanced structural analysis. The projects concern tunnels, bridges, nuclear containments, or cases of forensic engineering (structural failures). The Cervenka team participated in many international competitions to validate objectivity and robustness of their computational solutions. Recently they received an award for the best strength prediction in the competition “Predicting the Response of RC Slabs to Transverse Shear, IBK, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, 2005”.

SOFiSTiK, based in Germany, provides software solutions for all structural engineering tasks since the early 1970ies. The excellent relationship between SOFiSTiK on one side and Universities, consultants and contractors on the other side resulted in a software package linking theory and praxis.
